We had a prayer breakfast Saturday the 26th at Olive Branch Fire Station #2 and was attended by Gay and Sue Reynolds from the International Fellowship of Christian Firefighters. The meeting was attended by 31 people and the breakfast was served up by ladies from Olive Branch First Baptist Church. We thank the ladies for their kindness for helping out. We had a praise team that sang and a guest minister from Bartlett Faith that preached on change of heart, your heart replaced by Gods heart. What a wonderful and moving time we had.

DCFCFF THRUST INTO ACTION BY TORNADO THAT TOUCHED DOWN IN LEWISBURG

Desoto County Fellowship of Christian FireFighters

It Was At The Second Prayer Breakfast That DCFCFF Members Answered Their Call To Minister With Aid To The Families Whom Had Fallen Victim To The TORNADO. On November 24th the DCFCFF immediately gathered its resources to provide the necessary supplies and began distributing them at KYLENTON CHURCH OF CHRIST. With 53 families to help, it was no small task for the firefighters, who were also assisting the local area firefighters whom had answered the call for help at 4am that same morning when the tornado hit. At the same time the members were dishing out the food, other members were contacting local area motels for rooms to provide the displaced families whom needed temporary shelter, and would not give up until all families had a place to stay. Local area residents and church members from Desoto and Tate counties began dropping off food at the Lewisburg fire station to help in the relief. while dinner was being prepared, the NEW PROSPECT BAPTIST CHURCH opened its doors, and began cooking for the relief effort. DCFCFF has begun a clothing drive, which will remain an ongoing ministry, with drop off points at: Lewisburg Fire Station - 8771 Byhalia rd, Horn Lake Fire Station 1 - 6770 Tulane rd, and Horn Lake Fire Station 2 - 5711 Hwy 51 n.

DCFCFF VICE-PRESIDENT GARY LINVILLE CONTINUES THE DAY TO DAY MINISTRY EFFORT

In the last couple of days, the effort to help with necessary construction and cleanup has been scattered and disorganized. Only a patchwork group of volunteers, mainly members of various churches and organization, have come out to help when they can, said Gary Linville, vice president of the Fellowship of Christian Firefighters in DeSoto County. But Linville, who is spearheading the relief effort in Lewisburg, held a meeting with volunteers at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lewisburg United Methodist Church to assign jobs and make the relief system more unified. He's also looking for volunteers.

We will try to keep recent events for thirty days for your reading.
